About the Recipe

Growing up, I'd eat omelettes and omurice (omelette over rice) all the time, so it's honestly a comforting choice for breakfast or brunch for me.

The customizability is endless for an omelette -- so have fun! Makes an easy and nutritious meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/4 cup milk of choice

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil / vegetable oil

  • A pinch of sea salt

  • Ground pepper (to taste)

  • 1 tsp Paprika

Filling ideas:

  • My favorite combo: Spinach, sausage, Havarti cheese, green onion, red onions, carrots

  • Spam, red onion, bell peppers

  • Tomatoes, red onion, bell peppers, carrots, spinach

  • Bacon, tomatoes, red onion, spinach, mozzarella

Steps

Step 1:

Whisk the eggs and milk together in a small bowl. Add salt, pepper, and paprika.

(2 large eggs, 1/4 cup milk, a pinch of salt, pepper, and 1 tsp paprika)

Step 2:

Add the oil to a heated pan (medium heat). Pour the egg mixture into the pan and move pan around until egg covers entire pan.

(1 tbsp vegetable cooking oil)

Step 3:

Once egg mixture has somewhat solidified, flip the omelette over onto the other side. Then, add fillings of choice.

Step 4:

F0ld the omelette in half, flipping one egg-half over the toppings. Cook until the omelette is golden yellow. Plate and enjoy!
