About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oats (I used Quaker's Quick Oats, but any kind works!)

  • 1/2 cup almond milk or milk of choice

  • 1/2 banana, mashed up

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • Optional: fruit compote (my recipe here), mixed nuts, dried fruit, chocolate chips, matcha powder, peanut butter, vanilla extract, agave nectar, or honey

Topping ideas after baked: Greek yogurt, honey, mixed nuts, nut butter, fresh fruit, cinnamon

Steps

Step One

Preheat an oven or mini oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor. If adding any of the optional ingredients, mix them in after blending the main ingredients.

Step Two

If you prefer an oatmeal-like texture underneath a golden baked top, at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes. If you want the entire thing baked through, bake for 15-20 minutes.

Step Three

Enjoy with a scoop of greek yogurt, fruit, roasted nuts, melted dark chocolate, and/or nut butter -- the combinations are endless. Have a great morning :)
